HEY CLUBBIES!
As you all know/have obviously realized I have been EXTREMELY inactive lately. There are plenty of reasons and excuses for that.
Here's one of them: I'm pretty much writing a book. When it's done [which will be QUITE a while I'm sure] I'm going to attempt to get it published. If it doesn't happen I'll post it all over the internet for the world to see anyways.
I'm not very far into it BUT I have written the prologue and because I love you all so much I decided I'd share a part of it with you.
BE AWARE: This is only the first revision and I'm not going to put the entire thing in this post. This is completely subject to change because I'm sure I'll edit it about 54 more times before I like it.
And no, I don't have a title for my book yet.
READ ON!
A sudden bang in the alley broke me from my thoughts and I lifted my head from the mortal who lay in my arms to look into the darkness. I saw four figures coming towards me, unable to tell what they were until I breathed in deeply through my nose. Just as I had thought: four-leggeds. Come to ruin our fun, I'd be willing to bet. They were always attempting to "save" the humans from us.
I sniffed the air again and immediately knew exactly who they were. I stood up quickly, dropping the bleeding human to the ground and bared my fangs in the direction of the intruders.
"What are you doing here, Jordyn?" I hissed. I felt two more of my kind swoop down behind me. We weren't finished feeding, but this was more important[...]
Suddenly, I heard movement from behind me and turned to see the human I was preoccupied with a moment ago scurrying away, grasping his neck. I hadn't noticed his leaving because of the four-leggeds and I probably couldn't outrun them now if I wanted to finish him off.
I turned back to the dogs and snarled. "Jordyn!" I yelled, and I heard his laugh come from the group. In a second I was up in his face, glaring into his dark green eyes. I opened my mouth to yell at him again, but before I could do anything the four were transformed and around the corner of the alleyway, off into the streets.
My eyes narrowed as I watched them run. Reyne and Xavier looked at me as if for directions. "Let them run," I said, grinning. "We'll settle this later."
[...] -- This is a part that's been taken out. :]
Feel free to tell me what you think.
AND that's all I'm going to tell you about the book at this moment. Maybe I'll do more excerpts and stuff when I'm farher along. If I redo the prologue completely [which I've already done twice now] I'll change it. :]
---If you're looking for a good book read TWILIGHT by Stephenie Meyer. It's GREAT.
I love you all! Thanks for the birthday wishes! I had tons of fun!

PS. I didn't know where else to put this because I wanted everyone to be able to read it.
